ABOUT US

The Maranatha Child Development Center opened its doors in 1979 and is a licensed, accredited, gold seal quality care center, located in the city of Miami Gardens, Florida. The center is faith-based and is a Seventh-day Adventist Early Childhood Education facility. The present director has been at the center for over 36 years and has a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Administration. She and her staff enjoy working with children and have pride in knowing that they provide a clean, caring Christian environment for children birth through 5 years. Parents enjoy the family atmosphere their children experience away from home.

An important feature of the program is that all groups, including the infants, participate in worship activities to begin the day.

MISSION STATEMENT

To provide a quality and sound educational program while maintaining the Christian principles of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of the Maranatha Child Development Center is to provide children and parents with a warm, secure and nurturing Christian environment that allows children to learn and develop at their own pace. The classrooms and curriculum facilitate learning through exploration, experimentation and discovery, by providing opportunities for creative activities, role-play, music, indoor and outdoor experiences, while mastering skills and getting help with emerging ones.

Our program fosters the development of the total child by ensuring a rich and supportive environment to foster their spiritual, physical, emotional social and cognitive developments. A variety of materials, equipment and resources are used to ensure this growth. Under the guidance of our teachers, children will learn to make wise choices, tolerate and respect individual differences, and have a healthy respect for authority. Parental involvement is encouraged so that child and parent benefit from the home away from home experience.
